In my haste to post last night, I forgot to stick in this little guy. It’s more a candle stick than a lantern, but it is made from recycled bicycle parts. The whole thing is actually just the clutch from a Sturmey-Archer 3 speed hub I found on a trashed bike with the cog and spacers moved around a bit. Vintage Sturmey hubs are always a thing of beauty, and since this one was a model that had a habit of locking up while in use, I decided not to sell it to some unsuspecting fool on Ebay, but to make it serve a different purpose. I love nifty metal things. I’m still figuring out what to do with the rest of the parts. If nothing else, this stuff often makes great Christmas ornaments.
